Ward Hubbell, Founder + CEO
Ward founded Hubbell Communications, Oregon’s premier public affairs firm, in 2002 after a successful career in corporate communications and agency PR. As the guy whose name is on the door, Ward directs the focus and scope of the firm and gets deeply involved in developing and overseeing strategy for the firm’s clients.
Ward is a sought after speaker who has testified before Congress on numerous occasions, and presented to business audiences on a variety of topics throughout North America and in Europe.
Ward cut his teeth on politics and PR in Washington, DC for about a decade in the eighties and nineties. While in DC, Ward served as a speechwriter in the second Reagan term and was a managing principal in a leading DC public affairs firm focusing primarily on clients in the energy, environment, transportation and consumer goods sectors.
After a brief stint as a lobbyist for a Dow 30 corporation, Ward moved to Portland, Oregon to serve as Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Louisiana Pacific Corporation.
Ward has a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and a Master’s Degree from Wake Forest University. He has served on the boards of the Oregon Business Association, Portland Chamber of Commerce, SOLV, Cascade Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America, Entrepreneur's Organization and Lake Oswego Corporation.
