Zach Hyder, President + Chief Marketing Officer

A veteran of building and managing public relations agencies, Zach took the helm as the President of Hubbell Communications in 2020.

In this role, Zach sets the strategic direction of our work as one of the Northwest's leading communications firms. In addition, he oversees the company's thought-leadership projects, business development efforts, and marketing initiatives.

Zach provides both Hubbell and our clients with a unique set of skills. His aptitude for brand strategy, creative media, and campaign concept design make him a key part of the work we do helping clients craft the right story for target audiences. In addition, he has a proven ability to bring together the best talent in our business to work together on measurable, compelling campaigns.

Throughout his career, Zach has served as an executive leader of national and regional integrated marketing and communications agencies. He became a Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard before he was 30, and was part of client teams that worked on public relations campaigns for Nike, AT&T, VISA, and University of Oregon.

Zach has a keen understanding of the shifts happening in how we provide effective public relations and storytelling support to our clients. Known for his deep knowledge of the changing business of communications, he regularly hosts a podcast about the disruption of the agency business.

Zach holds a degree in American Government from Clark University and a masters in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He has served on the Board of Directors and senior advisory committees for the American Lung Association, the Cascade AIDS Project, Chamber Music Northwest, and the American Heart Association.
